Tír na nÓg, TUS Clonmel's Youth Festival, joins the Applefest Harvest Fair on Saturday 27th September.

As part of the 3-day Tír na nÓg Youth Festival, the celebrations will culminate on Saturday 27th September with a lively programme at the Applefest Harvest Fair in Kickham Plaza, Clonmel. From 11am to 4pm, festival organisers and TUS students will team up with Applefest to offer a wide range of free, hands-on creative workshops. Young people can take part in drawing skills sessions, badge making, collage, bracelet making, and more.

This collaboration brings the youth-led festival into the heart of Applefest, adding an extra layer of colour, creativity, and fun to one of Clonmel’s most popular community events.

More about Tír na nÓg

Now in its second year, the Tír na nÓg Youth Festival has grown from a one-day event into a three-day celebration of creativity and wellbeing for young people. Taking place in Clonmel from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th September, the festival is free, youth-led, and open to all ages, with a special focus on those aged 14–24.

Highlights include:

  • Thursday 25th Sept (TUS Clonmel Campus, 11am–4pm): Craft workshops such as lino printing, sticker and badge making, a petting farm, nerf war, street games, mindfulness sessions, and an all-day animation screening. New this year is a Storyslam (2–4pm) where young people in recovery share personal stories.
  • Friday 26th Sept (Main Guard, 1pm): The launch of Scrying: Water as the wellspring of creativity, a visual art and mixed media exhibition in collaboration with Durham College (Canada) and TUS Clonmel. The exhibition runs until Saturday 27th Sept.
  • Saturday 27th Sept (Kickham Plaza, 11am–4pm): A vibrant day of hands-on creative activities including drawing skills, collage, bracelet making, and more.

The festival’s mission is to encourage young people to unleash their creativity, build connections, and nurture positive wellbeing through the arts.
