A family-friendly day by the River Suir celebrating Clonmel’s river heritage and biodiversity, with apple pressing, crafts, a treasure hunt, boating and plenty of creative activities.

Enjoy a day out by the river with our family-friendly Field Day, celebrating the river heritage and biodiversity of Clonmel through creativity, nature and fun.
The day will feature apple picking, peeling, pressing and tasting, a children’s treasure hunt, craft activities, a boating gala and Bean Together, a creative youth café devised by young people with printmaking artist Aoife Barrett of PrintVanGo.
Apples from the nearby Suir River Orchards will be collected and pressed, with freshly pressed juice to taste courtesy of the Night Orchard Pressers. You can also bring your own apples and bottles and get your apples pressed on the day.
Participating artists include Lucy Moore (natural dyes), Lyn Kirkham (willow weaving), Patsy Cahill (basketry) and Elke Wilson (flower crowns).
Bring your own apples and bottles!
