A five-week creative textile residency exploring care, connection and community

Threads of Care is a five-week creative residency with Brigid Teehan at The Circular Square, Clonmel’s reuse and repair hub.

Through a series of relaxed, hands-on workshops, participants will use reclaimed fabrics and simple textile techniques to explore ideas of care: for ourselves, for each other, for our memories and for the future.

Inspired by the People Care ethic of social permaculture, the residency considers how small acts of repair, creativity and shared making can strengthen communities and contribute to positive social change.

As the workshops progress, the focus moves from making for ourselves towards creating with and for our communities, building connection, collaboration and a shared sense of belonging.

Each workshop can be attended individually, while the five sessions together form a creative journey from personal reflection to collective making and community care.
